Buffalo Trail Project Submission

Artist statement-

My name is Kayla Jenkins and I am an abstract, mixed-media painter located in the Rivergate area. The vast majority of my work is commission-based, abstract work created for modern homes and businesses. My style is uniquely marked by a cacophony of colors, shapes, textures and mediums used to represent a sense of connectivity among seemingly contradictory subject matters.

My style would be a great fit for this project, as I can easily draw on concepts from the historic Buffalo Trail and pair that with the increasingly present need for affordable, eco-friendly housing in the Metro Nashville area.
